CHEERLEADING CONSTITION

Within our cheerleading program our priority is to help promote teamwork, sportsmanship, self-confidence and physical fitness, through performance and competitive cheerleading. We aim to create a positive environment in which we can support and develop the student’s values, pride, cooperation, commitment, dedication, and most importantly having fun!

Following the National Council for Spirit and Safety in Education (NCSSE) guidelines, we encourage sportsmanship within the cheerleading association and also hope to prepare students with important skills for adult life. All cheerleaders are expected to practice and perform as a team, respecting staff, fellow cheerleaders and adults.

Cheerleading involves dance and stunt routines, cheering, chanting and support work within the local community, therefore, students will be required to attend local events and competitions with due notice.

Parents are encouraged to show support by attending committee meetings and team events.

The team’s achievements will be recorded and awards will be given annually to the most enthusiastic and committed cheerleaders.

All students should follow the rules and regulations of the constitution in order to enjoy a safe working environment.
