Equal Opportunities Statement

MKCA provide equal opportunities to all its associates.

This means:

1. In the provision of promotional services and membership in MKCA we will seek to ensure equality of opportunity for all persons.

2. No person or group of persons applying to MKCA, to appear in displays or competitions with squads, will be treated less favourably than any other person or group of persons because of their race, colour, ethnic or national origin, religion, gender, physical disability, appearance, sexual orientation or marital status.

3. No person will be discriminated against because of a medical condition, provided that the condition does not prevent that person from carrying out the tasks required of cheerleading.

4. To ensure its commitment to equal opportunities, MKCA collect and monitor records of ethnic/racial origin of all squad members.

5. In the composition and operation of its management MKCA will be mindful of its commitment to equality.

6. Support will be given to the victims of any kind of harassment. Establishing the perpetrator as a member of MKCA, ultimately could lead to the dismissal of that member. If an MKCA member is harassed by associates of other teams or members of the public we can only advise the responsible person of their offense.

7. Any form of harassment made by a member/volunteer of MKCA staff may ultimately result in their dismissal from the team.
