MKCA Newsletter - Third Edition

MKCA NEWSLETTER

Dec 2005

What a fantastic year it has been! And MKCA seems to be well on its way to becoming the most established cheerleading organisation in Milton Keynes. We are constantly gaining new members and are deeply grateful for the commitment existing members have shown so far.

As recognition for your commitment to MKCA, all cheerleaders will be given awards for their efforts at the Christmas presentation evening and special awards given to those who have shown extra effort in class and at public events.

For now, we hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and new year and look eagerly forward to seeing you all back for the new term.

Keep up the good work!

Sunday 11th December - Christmas Presentation evening!

6:30 – 10:00pm, Mathiesen Centre, Bradville

On Sunday the 11th of December MKCA will be holding its first official presentation evening. Cheerleaders and their parents will get the opportunity to reflect on the past year’s achievements.

All cheerleaders will receive recognition for their achievements so we ask if you could inform us if you are unable to attend this event.

£2.00 for cheerleaders £2.50 for guests

RE: Saturday 19th November - Workshop!

Well done too all of you who attended the MKCA/Southwark Tigers workshop! And received a medal and certificate for your achievements. This event went so well that we have been in contact with the Southwark Tigers and hope to have another joint team workshop soon.

MKCA CLOSES                     - After training on Tuesday 20th Dec 2005

MKCA RE-OPENS                       - Tuesday 10th January 2006

Thank you to everyone who helped by bringing in Tesco sports vouchers. We have managed to raise a total of 1100 vouchers, so well done to all of you. We will keep you updated as to how they have been spent in the new-year!
Remember to wrap up warm. Unfortunately the Mathiesen Centre hall is particularly cold at this time of year, which has not been helped by the inaccessible heating system, but we will hopefully be sorting this problem out soon. Until then we strongly advise that all cheerleaders attend training in layers ie, jumper and jogging bottoms, over the top of their T-shirt and shorts.

STAY INFORMED!

Make sure you check out dates and events via our monthly newsletter, or by checking out the official MKCA website, or…….. just ask!
