MKCA Newsletter - Second Edition

MKCA NEWSLETTER

Nov 2005

Well done to all MKCA members for a very successful month! MKCA have already made a massive impact! At our first competition, in shenley, we received six trophies, including the, well deserved, team spirit award, and best cheerleading award.

Our squads have also been duly noticed and complimented, by home fans, at the MK Lions basketball matches. Well done to all those who have attended these events so far!

Don’t forget that by attending regular classes you will be given the opportunity to perform at local and national events as recognition for your commitment to MKCA, The most committed and enthusiastic cheerleaders will be given awards for their efforts at the end of year awards ceremony, as well as being merited in class.

Keep up the good work! Amy Roots MKCA coach

Saturday 19th November - Workshop! £7

2:00 – 5:00pm, Mathiesen Centre, Bradville

MKCA Coaches have invited fellow cheerleaders ‘The Pride’ and ‘Southwalk Tigers’ to take part in a workshop alongside our very own MKCA cheerleaders! This is an exciting opportunity for you all to make new friends and to share ideas!

Sunday 11th December - Christmas Party!

6:00 – 10:00pm, Mathiesen Centre, Bradville

Scrap books are a new way for us to monitor the achievements of MKCA cheerleaders. We are asking for all cheerleaders to bring in an A4 ‘scrapbook’ in a plastic/paper wallet to each training session. Cheerleaders can then keep safe any paperwork handed out at training and keep reference of past and up and coming events, to acknowledge their achievements. Books can then be displayed at the end of the year in celebration of each cheerleader’s efforts.

ACADEMY CLOSES                        - After training on Tuesday 20th Dec 2005
